Straight outta Comte: Scientists find playing hip-hop to cheese creates the 'funkiest' flavour
So it turns out listening to round-the-clock music alters the flavour profile of cheese, and exposing cheese to hip-hop has proven better than Mozart and Led Zeppelin.

I always thought cheese was my spirit animal. Now with evidence it loves hip-hop as much as me, there’s no doubt in my mind!
Last September, Swiss cheesemaker Beat Wampfler and his team of researchers placed nine wheels of Emmental cheese weighing 10 kilos each into separate wooden crates, and exposed each of them to different music for 24 hours a day.
Among the music choices were hip hop legends A Tribe Called Quest’s “We Got it From Here”, opera mogul Mozart’s “Magic Flute'“, and rock tycoon Led Zeppelin’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’”.
Other songs in the mix include Vril’s “UV” and Yello’s “Monolith”.
Sound waves at low, medium and high frequencies were played for three, while one wheel was left in peace.
After two blind taste tests, the results from the study were in…
“The most obvious differences were observed in strength of flavor, smell and taste… The hip hop sample topped the list of all cheese exposed to music in terms of fruitiness...(it) was the strongest of these in terms of smell and taste.”:
There you have it! It seems the dance between milk and bacteria, when getting down to hip-hip, is second to none for creating the funkiest Flavor Flav!
Ain’t that Cheazy-e?!
